Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Any booking of the artiste(s) contracted, under any stage name, which is arranged or negotiated during a twelve month period subsequent to this gig MUST be made with Black Cat Promotions, with a like commission being payable. 2. Any cancellation of bookings must be made, IN WRITING, a minimum of 28 days prior to the booking, otherwise the artists fee is payable in full. Black Cat Promotions cannot be held responsible for non-fulfilment of this contract 3. The Artiste’s engagement under any contract is such that he / she would normally be treated as self-employed for National Insurance & Income Tax Purposes by reason of being engaged under a contract for services. Also, it is agreed and understood by the Artiste that they shall insure for both personal and public liability insurance. (For not less than five million pounds cover). 4. Black Cat Promotions will not be liable to the Artiste/venue, or to the Legal Representative of the Artiste/venue, for any loss, damage or injury to the Artiste’s person or property during or in connection with engagements unless caused by negligence of the Management and recoverable on that ground by Common Law. 5. It is understood and agreed by the Artiste, that his/her photograph may be printed and published in the Entertainments Programme and Brochure, if the Management so wish. 6. The recording of the artist’s performance, either in audio or video, is not allowed without prior consent from the artists or their representative. 7. The Artiste must adjust the volume of their sound, within reason, to the Management’s requirements. 8. The artists require the use of a private adequate changing room, preferably with a mirror and facility to hang clothes. 9. The Hirer and the Band Leader agree that the equipment and instruments of each musician performing for an Engagement are not available for use by any other person, except by specific permission of the musician. 10. The Hirer shall ensure a safe supply of electricity and the security of the musicians and their property at the venue.
Cancellation Terms & Conditions
It has been agreed that and understood that Black Cat Promotions will work as negotiator on behalf of the named supplier on negotiation of contracts. However Black Cat Promotions shall take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the interests of all parties concerned. Contracts may be terminated by either party within fourteen days of the contract date without penalty providing written notification has been received. Cancellations must be in writing to Black Cat Promotions Should the contract not be returned within 14 days Black Cat Promotions reserve the right to cancel the engagement and charge 20% of the contract fee to cover administration costs etc, failure to sign contract does not constitute a cancellation. Cancellation Terms a. where the hirer cancels the Engagement less than 6 months but more than 3 months prior to the date of the Engagement, 25% of the Fee; or b. where the hirer cancels the Engagement less than 3 months but more than 1 month prior to the date of the Engagement, 50% of the Fee; or c. where the hirer cancels the Engagement less than 1 month prior to the date of the Engagement, 100% of the Fee less any savings (including but not limited to travel costs) If booking made within six weeks of performance contracts to be sent back by return and cancellation fee is 100%
